In D&T this week, we have been looking at Mexican food and the importance of chillies! We cooked fajitas using tortillas, peppers and onions topped with some cheese. We then tried tortilla chips dipped in salsa, mexican fried rice, kidney beans in chilli and those of us that were feeling brave tried chilli peppers!!!
This Friday, Reception class had a wonderful time taking part in our EYFS Pirate fun day 😃
The children enjoyed a team treasure hunt, singing sea shanties, junk modelling, pirate puppet making, sailing watermelon boats and best of all…making and eating veggie pirate pizzas 🍕
It was an amazing day enjoyed by all.
Today we found a big 'Eyed Hawk Moth' outside.
We looked on the internet to find out what sort of moth it was.
Nicole's picture of the Eyed Hawk Moth.
Year 1 enjoyed making smoothies together. We tasted and evaluated and chose the ones we like most.
Nursery had lots of fun!
These are some of the pirate themed activities...
Small-world pirate play, digging for treasure, walking the plank and fishing for sea creatures...
During Art week, we continued with our Art Topic. This week we looked at weaving and learnt about how to weave and how to make patterns with wool. We have designed and created our own dreamcatchers by getting paper plates, creating patterns and weaving wool. We learnt the correct techniques to make sure it had the correct cross overs. We loved making these and can not wait to take them home and hang them up.
